Common platform questions
Do I need to run my own server?
No. INCLUDE runs as a cloud service: subscribe, install a solution, connect devices. For data that must stay on site, an on-premise option is available on the Enterprise plan.
Do I have to use IncludeBox?
No. Third-party devices can send data over MQTT or HTTP. See Send data from your own device.
How long is data kept?
It depends on the plan: 7 days (Community), 30 days (Starter), 60 days (Pro), 90 days (Business), and custom for Enterprise. Retention can be extended with an add-on.
My device is sending data but the dashboard is empty
- Make sure the device shows as online on Manage Devices.
- Make sure the MQTT topic matches the pattern; the safest way is to fetch it from the
mqtt-configendpoint. - Make sure payload field names match the device type parameters.
- If you have several groups, make sure you are viewing the group the device belongs to.
Can I import historical data?
Yes, via Settings, Telemetry, Import Data on Pro and above. Past data does not trigger alarms, so importing a year of history will not flood your notifications.
What is the difference between an organisation and a group?
An organisation is your company: the data boundary, subscription, and quotas. A group is a division inside it, such as a site or a plant. Devices, dashboards, and rule chains belong to one group.
What if I run out of quota?
Upgrade the plan, or buy add-ons for more devices, users, solutions, or retention without changing plans. You can also downgrade from the Subscription page as long as your usage fits the target plan.
Which payment methods are supported?
Through Doku: bank transfer, virtual account, credit card, and e-wallet. A PDF invoice is issued for every transaction.
